Key Responsibilities:
- Assists the project manager and superintendent with overall project performance including cost, schedule, safety and quality.
- Working with the design, construction, and leasing teams to deliver project documentation requirements through all project phases
- Assists in overall construction coordination, planning and identifying potential risks and resolving field technical issues.
- Performs quantity takeoffs and surveys to manage contract progress and reporting.
- Working with municipalities/authorities to coordinate permit applications
- Assists the project manager in crafting and issuing tender packages, subcontracts and supervises their processthrough the project lifecycle
- Attend client coordination and site meetings
- New project creation and general administration of cloud project management software
- Performs general administrative and record-keeping functions including the review and distribution of documentation; preparation of correspondence and meeting minutes, tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines, maintenance of files, logs, drawings and specifications
- Manages the change management process by securing pricing from the vendor/subcontractor, reviewing and inputting the data and submitting the change request to the owner/consultant for approval.
- Facilitates the tracking of project milestones and financial deadlines; assistance with the creation of the project schedule; inputs and updates schedule throughout the project and reviews with Project Manager/Superintendent.
- Facilitates the review and distribution of drawings by following up with the trades/consultants; maintains the drawing log and drawing/sample transmittals.
- Coordinates the request for information (RFI) process, ensures RFIs are distributed to affected trades and maintains RFI logs within cloud project management software
- Prepares purchase orders for approval and assists with procurement of materials and equipment
- Prepares and tracks progress claims/invoicing and estimates
- Organizes project close-out by preparing warranty package and requirements; collecting warranties and O&M manuals; creating turnover documents and archiving documentation
What you bring to York:
- A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Construction Engineering Technology or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 2+ years’ experience as a project coordinator
- Experience working on projects in a variety of sectors – light industrial and commercial
- A solid understanding of current building systems and materials
- A collaborative and flexible approach
- Ability to work in a fast-paced organization continually meeting deadlines
- Motivation, great organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills with an aptitude for learning new programs. Familiarity with scheduling software, MS Office suite of products and Procore would be considered an asset

Key Responsibilities:
- Daily communication with trades
- Site coordination of manpower (sub-trades, suppliers, and field workers)
- Conduct site safety orientation and weekly safety meetings with sub-trades
- Implement and enforce the requirements of OHS and York Construction Health and Safety Program
- Responsible for field documentation such as daily logs, conduct daily safety inspections and other required reports
- Coordinate materials in and out Supervision of smaller projects
- Some manual labour may be required
What You Bring To York:
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role is required

- Safety designation (i.e., NCSO) is strongly preferred

We are looking for a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Coordinator to join our team that shares our energy and passion in building a company committed to transparent, honest, and simple construction services.
Reporting to the HSE Manager, the HSE Coordinator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining York Construction health and safety policies and procedures that comply with applicable legislation and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular on-site inspections to identify and address potential health and safety hazards.
- Collaborate with site supervisors to ensure that safety protocols and procedures are followed diligently.
2. Safety Training and Orientation:
- Facilitate on-site safety training sessions and orientations for new employees, subcontractors, and visitors.
- Ensure that all workers are equipped with the necessary knowledge and tools to maintain a safe work environment.
3. Incident Response and Investigation:
- Respond promptly to on-site incidents, accidents, and near misses, conducting thorough investigations.
- Implement corrective actions and provide recommendations to prevent the recurrence of incidents.
4. Emergency Preparedness on Site:
- Develop and implement on-site emergency response plans and procedures.
- Conduct regular emergency drills to assess the effectiveness of response measures.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of on-site safety-related activities, including training, inspections, and incidents.
- Prepare and submit comprehensive reports to the HSE Manager as required.
6. On-Site Safety Culture Promotion:
- Actively engage with on-site personnel to promote a positive safety culture.
- Recognize and reward individuals and teams for exemplary safety practices.
7. Regulatory Compliance at the Site Level:
- Stay informed about local, provincial, and federal health and safety regulations applicable to construction sites.
- Ensure on-site compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
What you bring to York:
- Minimum of 5 years HSE experience
- Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driver’s Abstract
- National Construction Safety Office (NCSO) designation strongly preferred
- CRSP certification preferred
- Post-secondary education in HSE field an asset
- Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
- Ability to remain objective and maintain a factual perspective when dealing with questions and inquiries

Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, compare and analyze different quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Identify labor, material, costs and time requirements on a project basis by researching proposals, recent invoices, drawings, and any related documents.
- Prepare cost estimate reports (level of detail required will vary depending on end use).
- Revise cost estimate reports to reflect design changes, client needs, or when the availability of materials or labour changes.
- Advising development team about opportunities to improve cost-effectiveness of construction.
- Be responsible for the project tendering process
- Conduct regular risk assessments with a view to proactively managing increased costs or delayed schedule in construction projects.
- Oversee the different stages of a project to ensure that expenses follow the forecast plan and inform ongoing estimates.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as an estimator
- Construction Engineering Technology diploma preferred
- Experience working on Design-Build projects in a variety of sectors – light industrial and commercial experience preferred
- A solid understanding of current building systems, materials, and building codes
- In-depth knowledge of financial aspects of construction including estimating, budgeting, cost control and reporting
- Capable of anticipating constructability issues in moderate to complex situations and thinking outside the box to create solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced organization continually meeting deadlines

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all on site activities; ensure project construction is executed in a safe, timely and efficient manner
- Manage site flow of information
- Create look-ahead schedules and assist sub trades to comply and maintain productivity
- Liaison with clients, AHJ officials and create working relationships
- Reviewing all work drawings to identify conflicts and issues in advance
- Supervise sub-trades, suppliers, and field workers
- Conduct site safety orientation and weekly safety meetings with sub-trades
- Review on-site work to confirm that project is being built as per drawings, specifications, code and ensure that all finishes are to York and industry standards
- Assemble the job site office and equipment requirements
- Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a regular basis
- Implement and enforce the requirements of OHS and York Construction Health and Safety Program
- Review the accuracy of shop drawings, change orders, and RFI’s as required
- Investigate and resolve any issues that arise
- Responsible for field documentation such as daily logs, conduct daily safety inspections and other required reports
- Order materials and schedules inspections as necessary; include coordinate offsite utilities and review with the applicable authority
- Ensure Quality Control / Quality Assurance process is adhered to and reviews are performed by testing agencies and consultants
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to other team members
- Constantly strive to improve company processes and the quality of the finished product
